Job Description:
This position will implement the standard Las Vegas Line of Supply/Procurement Process at the Las Vegas properties. This position will ensure that all Procurement-related goals and objectives are met or exceeded. This position will ensure a consistent quality customer service experience with the Line of Supply/Procurement of goods and services in Las Vegas. Must have strong food buying skills.
Partner with Receiving/Warehouse to ensure that the standard Las Vegas Line of Supply/Procurement Process is implemented and operates at a consistently high level at the Las Vegas properties. Responsible for all Purchasing functions/aspects of the Line of Supply for the Las Vegas properties. Responsible for communication to and training of all Las Vegas properties personnel authorized to purchase goods and services on the Line of Supply and mechanisms of purchasing [Stratton Warren and PCard].
Personally abides by and enforces ethical practices in all dealings with vendors; responsible for ensuring that all vendor relations are devoid of any business practices which could be deemed questionable business conduct.
Responsible at all times for the maintenance of a good rapport and professional relationship in all dealings with vendors, user departments, employees, management. Responsible for conducting oneself at all times in a manner which reflects credit to Harrah's.
Responsible for the implementation of and support for initiatives and programs [including national and Las Vegas supplier agreements] for the procurement of goods and services which support the goals of the individual properties, the Las Vegas Division and Harrah's Entertainment.
Responsible for playing an active role in enabling and improving the Las Vegas Line of Supply operation in all respects - process, system, programs, procedures, policies - and to the benefit of all involved parties - user department customers, vendors, Purchasing, Receiving, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable.
Responsible for purchasing activities for the Las Vegas user departments and for coordination with the Las Vegas user departments to ensure that all phases of operation are properly planned and executed in conjunction with Purchasing action.
Responsible for vendor relations, management and measurement, ensuring that vendors consistently perform at the level required by the Las Vegas properties. Responsible for the management and measurement of vendor account representatives.
Responsible for accurate pricing information on all Las Vegas purchasing documents and for the correct payment of same; partners with Stratton Warren Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Accounts Payable in this effort. Partner and coordinate with Stratton Manager, user departments and Strategic Sourcing in the creation of and set-up of new items and item updates/changes in Stratton Warren.
Responsible for all aspects of compliance - from information gathering, reporting and disseminating to communicating, meeting and managing - to Las Vegas Procurement Purchasing standards [e.g. Las Vegas Line of Supply/Procurement Process, procurement system use, minority vendor initiatives]. Supports and implements efforts to locate and establish mutually beneficial business dealings with quality minority vendors.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of and facility with Stratton Warren Inventory/Purchasing system, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Thorough knowledge of purchasing/supply chain/line of supply practices and procedures.
5 years in Purchasing/Materials
Must possess strong managerial, administrative and organizational skills
Must possess excellent customer service, partnering and team-building [lateral, report, support] skills
Must possess strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
Must be a self-starter, energetic, pro-active, flexible and desire a challenging work environment
