Job Description:
Provides technical support on PC based product. Configures and installs hardware and software in desktop computers in both stand-alone and network environments. Provides technical support for end users on the network. Investigates and tests PC based products to insure compatibility of hardware and software. Responsible for microcomputer hardware and software inventory. Coordinates the purchasing of microcomputer hardware and software. Interacts with users within all levels of the organization to deliver technical solutions and to isolate and resolve technical problems. Makes recommendations on cost effective PC solutions to support business processes.
Qualifications:
Two to four year technical degree preferred. Excellent communications and problem solving skills. Thorough knowledge of personal computers (hardware and software), inclusive of Windows/DOS operating systems, LAN/AS400 connectivity, and ethernet topology; general knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access). Ability to work in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment. Two years experience in PC hardware/software support required. Must be able to obtain a NJ Casino Employee License.
