Job Description:
Acknowledges regular guests as well as new or unknown patrons; reinforces behavior that encourages positive interaction with high quality guests. Assists in hiring, motivating, appraising, and disciplining staff to ensure proper staffing levels; provides and monitors on-the-job training for Dealers to ensure staff receives adequate guidance, resources, and information for adequate job performance and to accomplish established department objectives. Assumes overall responsibility for the effective gaming service activities for a designated area. Maintains constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locations in order to observe and report any suspicious or irregular activity to the Assistant Casino Shift Manager or Casino Shift Manager. Controls and directs games in progress by monitoring and providing assistance and dealer correction. Maintains awareness of how each game stands with respect to player limits, special customers, gains/losses, and dealer performance. Raises and lowers limits of games in order to maintain appropriate gaming opportunities for customers while maximizing gaming opportunities for Harrah's. Oversees and assures high standards of customer courtesy on each game and works closely with other casino staff members in this regards. Grants complimentary services to high-limit players according to established guidelines, and responds to and resolves customer complaints or problems, with assistance and dirction from the Assistant Casino Shift Manager and/or Casino Shift Manager to ensure courteous and friendly service to all gaming customers.

Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees. Sound technical understanding and demonstrated knowledge of games manuals, policies, and procedures, as well as knowledge of and ability to identify various cheating techniques. Completion of a wide variety of specific games training programs with resulting proficiency in required pit games.
