JOB SUMMARY: Expedites and assists in controlling the movement of customer's vehicles upon arrival and departure, providing friendly, excellent service to hotel guests who request assistance with their luggage. Assist customers in securing taxis and other modes of transportation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with customers who need assistance with their luggage. Coordinate with Bell Desk to ensure highest customer service is given every time. Coordinate and maintain a steady flow of traffic in the Porte cochere. Give clear directions and resolve issues for customers when necessary. Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies. Demonstrates Harrah’s Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, Provides a Warm Farewell.

QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in a Door Person or Bell Desk position is preferred. A minimum of one year customer service experience in a position where the primary job duty is direct customer contact, with the ability to provide courteous, friendly and efficient service to guests every time. Ability to lift heavy baggage up to 100 pounds. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Able to work independently. Able to work and quickly maneuver inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 95 degrees or cold in excess of 10 degrees. Able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch and lift objects that weigh up to 100 pounds. Able to push and/or pull heavy rolling loads in excess of 300 pounds. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Respond to visual and aural cues.
