DIRECTOR OF SECURITY
RIVERS CASINO in PITTSBURGH, PA

Job Functions:
• Responsible for the overall operation of the Security Department.
• Continually monitor staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all anticipated business requirements and compliance with Security Department minimum staffing submission.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures and training programs to ensure the protection of all company assets as wells as the safety and welfare of guests and team members.
• Directs Risk Manager whose functions include loss prevention programs, Worker's Compensation, administration of guest claims/incident, property liability and workplace safety program.
• Develop and implement Security and Risk Management departmental budgets
• Responsible for the physical safety of natural persons, the physical safeguarding of assets, and the protection of the property of both the patron and the slot machine licensee from illegal activity.
• Will collaborate with the human resources department or its functional equivalent, the design, implementation and enforcement of a system for the issuance of access badges.
• Responsible for The design, implementation and enforcement of a system for the issuance of temporary access credentials.
• Responsible for recording of any unusual incidents within the licensed facility in which the security department is involved.
• Responsible for the identification and immediate notification to supervisors of any persons who is require to be excluded or ejected from the facility.
• Perform all the duties and responsibilities required under the system of internal controls that were approved.
• Must immediately notify the Pennsylvania State Police upon detecting the presence of a person possessing a weapon.
• Responsible for The provision of immediate notice to supervisors designated in the internal controls and the casino compliance representatives and the Pennsylvania State Police at the licensed facility upon detecting any person who is engaging in or attempting to engage in, or who is suspected of cheating, theft, embezzlement, a violation of this part or other illegal activities.
• Keep abreast of crimes and trends with the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission and local law enforcement through establishment of mutual rapport.
• Directs internal investigations

Job Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years casino security management experience
• Background and knowledge of security operations, O.S.H.A. regulations, safety, investigation, and legal issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership / motivation skills.

• Excellent knowledge in various computers programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
