Job Description
The mission of the IT Strategy and Planning Department is to co-ordinate and support the management of the IT Division's information, human and financial resources through administering, monitoring, reporting and recommending the best practices for IT division-wide activities.

Job Role Requirements:
* lead and implement the centralised monitoring, tracking and reporting for all IT projects and IT project resources including the offshore development centre – reports will include project status, budget, IT resource utilisation, schedule, risks, issues and changes
* provide comprehensive programme planning for significant initiatives including in-house Q-series programmes and strategic initiatives to ensure optimised use of IT resources and our client’s financial resources
* develop project management standards, methods and best practices – continuously improve processes, implement and support them via the PM Portal
* act as a mentor and coach for IT project managers and coordinate focused project manager training and professional development activities
* deliver cross divisional communication programmes on project portfolio health and the status of cost recharges between IT and user divisions
* provide advice to senior managers on portfolio change and risk management activities to support effective decision making based on timely and accurate portfolio data
* continuously measure and communicate results to IT and business stakeholders through key project and portfolio metrics as well as the monthly IT status report
* act as an enabler and facilitator of IT / business stakeholder collaboration on IT projects and programmes

Required:
* a degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering. Post graduate qualification in business administration is a distinct advantage
* at least 15 years of relevant project management experience gained from both corporate IT environment, including prior PMO management experience, as well as from technical and/or business consulting organizations, particularly those involved in all aspects of project delivery from sales, design, planning and implementation of systems, applications and infrastructure
* a strategic focus with an ability to manage a complex environment of interdependent programmes and projects
possess well developed communications skills, both oral and written, for a senior level audience and to effectively manage stakeholder expectations
* be a team builder, and capable of developing strong working relationships across IT and business units
