Job Description
Our client, an international iGaming leader, is looking for a talented and highly technical Database Application Architect to join their Architecture & Innovation Team to drive forward their sophisticated next generation systems built with service-oriented approach.

The architect will play a prime role in software architecture design of high performance, high throughput and mission critical OLTP systems. They will be responsible for setting database development direction and adopting industry best practices, and contribute to the planning, design and implementation of the overall database architecture for enterprise application development and data integration projects in alignment with our client’s business strategies and goals.

Qualified Candidate:
* Have 10+ years of database system design and programming work experience with a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
* Good track record of working with large & highly transactional distributed database projects.
* Well versed in design of OLTP application.
* Expert in Transact-SQL programming with abilities in code review.
* Familiarity with data access technologies of application development using ASP.Net, C++, C#, Java, XML, Web Services, Object-oriented (OO) etc.
* Solid experience of ER modelling, and hands-on with case-tools
* Highly technical hands-on with SQL/database performance monitoring, optimization & tuning.
* Demonstrated experience with how to maximize database application scalability performance, recoverability and maintainability.
* Sound experience in production support of high-volume/performance and mission-critical OLTP systems
* Strong RDBMS technology knowledge in replication, clustering, SAN, partitioning, virtualization, etc.
* Abstract and conceptual thinking ability for designing architecture and passion to drive for implementation
* Analytical thinking for problem-solving and translating business needs to technical requirements and proof-of-concept work

Responsibilities:
* Lead the software architecture design of high performance, high throughput, and mission critical systems.
* Responsible for the design of data architectures, design and development of database transactional and analytical components in our client’s transaction systems. Analyzes, design, develop, test and implements complex physical database designs in support of the high performance application.
* Design data models for business intelligence and performance management applications. Structure the data for optimal access, performance and integration. Develop new data schemas and data services to support business needs and for managing the distribution and replication of master data, metadata and aggregate transactional data.
* Development and deployment of frameworks and component-based solutions and establishment of standards and best practices. He (or she) will provide leadership on critical decisions that forms a specific direction for a system in terms of design, implementation and operations and track the technical progress of project to ensure compliance with existing architecture and design.
* Supports Development teams by reviewing their data model designs for adherence to data strategic direction, integration and integrity compliance, and data administration standards
