Job Description:
Essential Functions of the Beverage Service Supervisor:
* Supervises the beverage service team and holds them accountable for delivering World Class Service.
* Responsible for maintaining professional, friendly and efficient beverage service to all Casino Guests and creating/maintaining a positive work environment.
* Must strive to improve Beverage Department CSA scores by 4% annually.
* Monitors and maintains guest service levels according to set standards.
* Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the casino floor in Slots and Table Games by directing service staff.
* Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
* May be responsible for creating/maintaining beverage service staff schedules.
* May be responsible for assisting with departmental projects, such as monthly inventory and/or employee engagement/recognition programs.
* Acts as a role model for guest relationship building and encourages others to do the same.
* Commend, coach and /or terminate beverage employees as required.
* Perform accurate Spotlights on the casino floor and be able to communicate the results to staff members.
* Be able to explain service standards in detail and train employees to perform them.
* Required to attend necessary training as it pertains to the casino and/or the department.
* Be able to identify and recruit talented service providers for the beverage department.
* Hold Buzz sessions according to company standards. Buzz sessions should include: Greeting, celebrating, review of current events, review department CSA scores, deliver luck builders, engage the staff in a game/activity and a positive/motivating parting remark.
* Maintain all department policies and procedures on a daily basis.
* Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons at all times while communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
* Be able to add value to the beverage department's daily operation.
* Must be able to identify service barriers and ways to overcome them.
* Inspires with a clear direction and gets others excited about being a part of the company.
* Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills.
* Conveys positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on guest and employee interactions.
* Immediately addresses service issues and follows-up to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Directs the daily work activities of the beverage service team.
* Frequently solicits guests for feedback on beverage service and ways to improve it.
* May be responsible for some office work.
* The Beverage Service Supervisor will also be responsible for any/all other duties deemed necessary by management and/or the department.
* Enforces the standards of appearance, grooming and image guidelines set-forth by the company and the department.
* Attend all departmental meetings as required.
* Attend CSA Task Force meetings and prepare Beverage CSA initiatives to be discussed with the department manager and the property Customer Service Director.
* Enters Spotlights in BestMark and ensures that all deadlines are met as they pertain to CSA and/or Spotlights.
* Attends property Buzz Sessions and rallies for employees to do the same.
* Creates an atmosphere conducive to having Highly Engaged employees, which will lead to positive results on property EOS/SFS.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure and/or conflict situations.
* Experience in Customer Service environments required.
