Job Description:
Job Summary: Assists Chef on duty in setting up food outlet line and maintaining kitchen areas.

Qualifications:Three years previous experience as a Cook and Pantry is required. Must have working knowledge of menu planning, soups, sauces, meat, poultry, seafood, dressings, canapes, salads items and food displays. Must be able to provide own tools. Working knowledge of point of sales and the ability to work in all classifications below Cook II is required. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Managerial Pre-Requisites:
Essential Job Functions:Assists the Room Chef in coordinating the service lines of kitchen outlets, along with kitchen preparation. Keeps area cleaned and stocked with food supplies and rotates and dates all stock. Prepares all food items in an accurate and rapid manner. Provides coverage on all stations needed to facilitate employee breaks. Make decisions for the Room Chef when he is unavailable. Completes station checklist and par sheets one hour before completion of shift. Follows directions from the Room Chef regarding other related duties. Meets the attendance guidlelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Physical & Mental Demands:Must be able to work inside a kitchen and on lines during entire shift. Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the kitche. Must be able to tolerage areas with high temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push or pull carts in excess of 300 pounds. Must possess coordination and dexterity to use kitchen utensils. Must be able to kneel, push, and pull when rotating stock. Must be able to operate the following kitchen equipment: stoves, grills, fryers, and other utensils in preparing the food orders. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and be able to conduct conversations with peers in a distinctive and persuasive manner.
