Job Description:
Position Summary:
Provides wine, liquor, and related bar service to guests at assigned stations. Adheres to the guest service requirement listed above.

Job Description:
The bartender provides wine, liquor and related bar service to guests at assigned stations, including slot change for bars equipped with poker slot machines. To ensure excellent bar service to guests and beverage servers to ensure smooth operation of the beverage department. Mix drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drink coupons and charge receipts. Maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Education Preferred:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Flexibility in fingers and hands to operate cash register and beverage guns; pickup glasses, ice scoop and use a shot glass to measure liquor according to procedure. Mathematical abilities including addition and subtraction. Ability to work with hands in ice for 8 to 10 hour Shifts. Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours Shifts
Ability to work in constricting areas. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous bartending experience.

Physical Requirements:
* Must be physically mobile.
* Must be able to lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
* Must be able to reach above and below shoulder, grip small items (i.e. pens, money, garnishes), bend, stoop and twist while preparing cocktails, stand and walk for up to four hours.
* Must be able to work in constricted areas.

Licensing and Certification Required:
Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license. The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction. All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City. Employees will be required to attend Serve Safe and CARE classes and certify.
