Job Description:

Serves as a dynamic and energetic leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value. Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision. Partners and coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated employees. Embraces, role models and implements all elements of our customer service program including FOCUS skills, Spotlight on Success and Buzz Sessions, and tier prioritized service. Recommends and implements change to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction. Establishes and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. in accordance with the Code of Commitment.

Responsible for assisting the department manager in managing all I. T. property support activities at Harrah’s Chester; including: the planning, procurement, installation, implementation, on-going support, and administration of all major technical systems located at the property. Ensures that operational processes and procedures support senior management initiatives, strategic objectives for Information Technology, and property initiatives. Responsible for managing a staff of technical and business specialists who are responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of all property based technical systems. Develop work schedules, assign staff and coordinate with overall department service level goals and project plans. Assess priority and work with team to adjust schedules as necessary to meet both service and project goals. Lead and facilitate the growth of the team environment including developing the necessary skills with in the group, establishing processes that foster teamwork and consistently working to improve relationships with other areas. Assist with the administration of all security procedures and operational controls for the physical environment/data assets of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. in accordance with industry standards, Internal Audit, and regulatory controls. Develop, document, and communicate property support metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Participate in the formulation of I. T. Plans, technical strategies and budget plans as they relate to their property. Facilitate and lead efforts to manage the life cycle of property I. T. assets, ensuring the appropriate technology is utilized, available resources are reused and standards are implemented. Act as a consultant with other departments in defining technology requirements and ensure the selection and use of the most appropriate configuration in accordance with I. T. standards. Participates in and may provide leadership for corporate I.T. initiatives, projects, roll-outs, etc.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, MIS, or equivalent experience preferred. At least 5 years in IT related activities with 2 or more years of supervisory experience. Must have extensive knowledge of the installation and programming of technical/information systems. Must be familiar with computer hardware and software systems. Must have the ability to effectively train others in system operations. Financial and Budgetary experience preferred. Proven business, systems, and project management skills. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the organization. Must be able to prioritize, direct, and monitor multiple tasks and assignments. Ability to quickly identify or anticipate potential problems and recommend solutions for variables that can impact property operations. Ability to analyze problems and apply logical/cost effective solutions. Some travel may be required.

Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.

Is fluent on Microsoft Office software products, and is viewed as an outstanding team player.

Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to obtain a “Key” license through the state of Pennsylvania.
