SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for providing truly great service to every guest every time, making Harrah’s the overwhelming first choice for it’s targeted customers. Expected to promote the Total Rewards program and use customer service skills while cashing checks, processing credit card advances, and converting coins, tokens and gaming checks into currency for gaming guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted him/her on a shift basis.
* Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all guests.
* Cashes checks, credit card advances and converts gaming checks, tokens and coin for gaming guests.
* Provides guests with overview of Harrah’s Total Rewards Program.
* Supplies currency, coin and gaming checks to other departments as needed.
* Makes credit inquiries, performs credit checks and other related functions necessary to process new check cashing applications.
* Ensures and maintains confidentiality of guest’s records.
* Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
* Buys, sells and balances the Main Pit Bank and/or drawers in Checkout.
* Handles peak workloads with relative ease and without compromising friendly and courteous service.
* Assists those on the front line and with training new hires to learn and develop Cashier functions.

Job Description:
* EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
* EXPERIENCE: Previous cashier or cash handling experience preferred

ABILITIES:
* Literate and fluent in English
* Excellent guest relations
* Above average math skills
* Computer literate
* Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
