Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares production sheet for approval by Chef / Sous Chef.
* Prepare meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other food items as indicated by production sheets, and insure other culinary personnel follow proper procedures.
* Order food and maintain pars through Stratton Warren.
* Assume responsibility for kitchen in absence of Chef / Sous Chef.
* Directs all Culinary Personnel in his / her area of responsibility.
* Open or closed assigned kitchen in absence of Chef / Sous Chef.
* Communicate with appropriate manager any development with service staff.
* Maintain a high degree of sanitation in work station as well as the entire area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
* Knowledge of all aspects of food preparation and some experience.
* 5 or more year’s experience in area of responsibility food service. Prefer one year’s experience at property currently employed. Prefer some formal Culinary training, but not essential.
* Supervisory skills required
* Position to be rounded into future Sous Chef.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence.
* Ability to write basic correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to guests, and other associates in the company.
* The Associate must frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
