Responsibilities:
* Plans, directs and coordinates Fixed Asset maintenance and report preparation
* Ensures that all financial activities follow generally accepted accounting principles and are in compliance with internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley ICFR requirements.
* Oversees preparations, posting and analysis of Fixed Asset entries.
* Oversees the preparation and distribution of monthly Fixed Asset reporting package.
* Coordinates with external auditors in providing audit requests related to statutory and corporate audits.
* Responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of the fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger. Initiates any actions necessary to implement sound accounting principles in the recording and reporting of transactions. Directs the month end close process as well as the daily reporting process for all properties in the Division.
* Establishes and maintains department and property procedures in support of the general ledger, financial reporting and strong internal controls.
* Plans, develops, recommends and implements accounting procedures and systems to ensure compliance with internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley internal control procedures.
* Motivates and develops direct reports by mentoring, coaching and providing performance feedback. Directs activities of the Fixed Asset staff.
* Directs the reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Reviews and approves Fixed Asset accounts and reconciliations.
* Keeps abreast of related financial regulations impacting the organization.
* Reviews and balances month-end accruals.
* Reviews and approves all month-end Fixed Asset entries.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. An advanced degree or CPA is preferred.
* Five (5) years of experience in finance or accounting required of which two (2) years of experience must have been in a management role. Prior experience with Fixed Asset management preferred.
* Strong oral and written communications skills a must.
* Requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize business/financial data
* Must have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
* International travel may be required
