Job Description:
Directly responsible for all casino cashiering, coin cashiering, games clerk and simulcast transaction activity on respective shift. Maintains and enforces physical safeguards over all moneys, forms and records relating to cashiering, coin cashiering, games clerk and simulcast functions. Assists in scheduling, staffing, and training of cashiers, coin cashiers, games clerks, and simulcast cashiers. Prepares cashiering shift summaries and reconciles accountability. Coordinates timely reporting of cashier, coin cashier, games clerk and simulcast transaction activity to Casino Accounting. Reviews cashiering output for general reasonableness and accuracy and reports any inaccuracies. When functioning as a Casino Cashiering trainer will have direct responsibility for all newly hired cashiers, games clerk and simulcast cashiers along with the ongoing training needs for current employees. Develops a standard consistently applied technical and guest service training program that begins with training in a mock cage-classroom type setting and culminates with on-the-job training. Monitors and schedules the ongoing training needs of all Casino Cashiering employees. Responsible for training, testing and re-testing all employees in Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR’s) related positions. Position is located in a cigarette-smoke environment. Functions as the simulcast counter shift supervisor in accordance with N.J.A.C. 19:45-1.12(i)2.

Qualifications:
BS in Business Administration preferred. General business and accounting knowledge with broad knowledge of Casino and Cashier rules, regulations, procedures and administration. Knowledge of the laws and regulations affecting the casino/hotel industry. Strong organizational, managerial and communication skills. Cashiering and supervisory experience in all banks within the Casino Cage and related areas. Minimum three years progressively more responsible experience in cashiering areas of the hotel/casino industry. Proven supervisory skills, primarily in the management of a large staff. Must be able to obtain a NJ Casino Key Employee License.
