Job Description:
SUMMARY: Maintain and service Surveillance and Security systems to function within normal expectations. Oversee service, maintenance and installation projects to ensure compliance with state gaming laws and Coast Guard regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Research products/methods to improve departments and division with reduced short-term and/or long-term costs.
* Actively search for feasible ways to upgrade the departments’ equipment.
* Research and coordinate supplies and parts for the departments and division.
* Coordinate cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure departments compliance with state laws and to ensure the daily operation of the departments are not affected.
* Oversee installation and maintenance projects to ensure quality and compliance state laws.
* Actively research ways to re-configure and/or consolidate to reduce departments’ expenses.
* Responsible for organization and performance of Electronics Technicians.
* Coordinate and provide for the training of the division’s technicians.
* Ensure the division maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the departments.
* Report to each department head the status of his or her department’s technical status.
* Coordinate vacation and PTOs to ensure department compliance with state laws
* Hire and provide for the training of new technicians.
* Assist each department head with operational and capital budget issues if necessary.
* Ensure the division’s customer service standards are initiated and maintained at the highest level.
* Support and maintain Horseshoe and division professionalism, courtesy and integrity standards, policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Manager.
Qualifications:
ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Horseshoe & Harrah’s from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to Horseshoe/Harrah’s disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of Horseshoe employment.
Upon employment, all Team Members are required to fully comply with Harrah's and Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Company facilities. Team Members who violate Company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of Horseshoe & Harrah’s employment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 5 years experience in Surveillance and/or Security related fields.
* Minimum 4 years experience in closed circuit television installations and maintenance.
* Minimum 3 years experience in prior supervisory positions.
* Ability to obtain appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required and state of Louisiana gaming license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Displays good communication skills, including speaking and understanding English, through person and telephone conversations. Reading and writing fluent English.
REASONING ABILITY:
Displays appropriate reasoning for job level.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Operates telephone, radio, computer and various other surveillance technical related equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Walks, lifts, sit and stand comfortably. Handles, feels and senses.
* Climbs ladders and maintains various heights while working on completion of installation and maintenance projects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must occasionally work in confined spaces, loud and/or smoky environments, hot, cold and wet areas.
