Job Description:
Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering and setting up food and beverage service in guest rooms. Assists in the preparation of food service supplies. Reviews orders for proper presentation and completeness prior to delivery.

Qualifications:
* High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
* Previous food server experience in a high volume restaurant preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Basic reading, writing, mathematical skills.
* Work closely and efficiently with others.
* Able to consistently meet Appearance Standards.
* Demonstrate ability to exercise good judgment.

Essential Functions:
* Provide prompt, friendly and complete service of food and beverage items to guest rooms upon request.
* Ensures that all food items requested and necessary supplies are obtained and delivered in a friendly and timely manner.
* Coordinates the delivery schedules of amenities and food and beverage orders to best accommodate the guests.
* Facilitates the immediate accommodation of guest requests.
* Follows all applicable safety precautions.
* Ensures that all items are presented in accordance with departmental guidelines.
* Clocks guest checks out and in.
* Closes guest checks upon delivery.
* Instruct and assist Bus Person in the set-up of special amenities.
* Obtain food and beverage orders from any of the hotel outlets as requested by the guest.
* Complete service preparation functions as required.
* Perform side work to include, but not limited to filling sugar bowls and salt/pepper shakers, folding napkins and general organization of storage areas.
* Works additional hours on short notice as requested by management, in order to accommodate one of the following: staffing emergency, employee absence, fluctuation in business levels, special projects, etc.
* Any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:
* Must be able to work independently.
* Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, minimum of 4-6 hrs.
* Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (a minimum of 20 steps), or elevator.
* Responds to visual and aural cues.
* Must be fluent and literate in English.
* Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs., and push or pull a minimum of 40lbs. on wheels.
* Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach.
* Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
* Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends as requested.
