Job Description:
Utilize yield management, overbooking and distribution tools and strategies to maximize hotel room profits (gaming & cash) for either a property or properties.
Work within the pod and market structure to ensure citywide mix optimization.
Forecast daily room category demand to ensure acceptance of most profitable mix of incented and un-incented customers, based on their expected profit margins, in our property hotels.
This also assures the highest possible customer service and guest satisfaction from our most profitable guests who want rooms.
Success is measured by various RM metrics like: total revenues per available room (RevPAR), Mix Optimization targets, Hotel/Gaming revenue targets, Occupancy, Win per occupied room, etc.
Manage and yield all demand channels to ensure that property revenue is being maximized.
Optimize the use of new electronic distribution tools (Hotel Booking Systems Inc) to assure that when retail demand is needed it is open for sale at the right prices through all electronic distribution channels (Expedia, Travelocity, SABRE, American Airlines Vacations).
Use historical data to appropriately overbook the hotel in high demand periods to ensure maximum occupancy and minimize inventory “spoilage” due to cancellations and no shows.
Proactively communicate daily with hotel, marketing, sales, distribution, and other key operations to communicate what is needed, what is being done and the success of current RM efforts.
