An exciting opportunity has arisen in our client’s Malta office for a Compliance Manager to drive their compliance, regulatory and governance arm. The candidate will have a strong background in this field and will be able to hit the ground running.
Job Responsibility
The Compliance Manager (CM) will oversee compliance within the company, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns with regard to fulfilling laws and regulations related to the company’s licenses, but equally within the organisation. In addition they will proactively monitor, assess, review and reports to management as appropriate any upcoming gaming/gambling related regulatory changes on a worldwide basis.
The position ensures that the company, products, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behaviour in the organisation meets the company’s standards of conduct. The CM office exists as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.
The candidate will be flexible in their approach and will be expected to attend relevant conferences and seminars to ensure the stay abreast of industry developments. They will be available to travel to our client’s operations and clients in Europe, North America and Asia.
General Purpose
The CM will act as a support to the management team by monitoring and reporting potential compliance issues and developments in the jurisdictions where the company is active by proactive monitoring. The CM will also be a central liaison for reviewing agreements and negotiating with customers and suppliers.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Ideally to degree level
Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience from a similar position, to include demonstrated leadership and pro-activeness. We are looking for a driven individual with documented experience with compliance issues. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance and regulations is also a must.
